Faith's Story

I was a PK kid, those of you who know, know what a PK kid is. Google is FREE! Anyways, it started when I was little, unsure of my age, but I used to watch my pastor father beat, cuss out, strangle and lock the first lady in the room. My mom didn’t have to work, she always did things for others selflessly. My father had his own business and was head pastor at our church. On this day, my mother confronted my father about his extra marital affair’s. He had so many, I can’t keep up anymore and outside kids too. He beat her so bad she ended up in the hospital. She was there for a few days; I went to visit her and told her if she didn’t leave him that I am leaving the home and telling everybody. I really don’t understand this whole we have this appearance that we need to uphold. We are all humans with different lives. I want out and I want better for my mother. The church is nothing but a fraud! Yep, I said it!

She went to our church, set down with the deacons, sisters of the church etc. When sister “Brown” said “I don’t believe you!” HELL broke loose! I will not go into details because google is free! Sister “Brown” was having an affair with my father. When she found out she wasn’t the only one, she started talking but she ended up marrying him after we left.

We moved to Texas to start all over. It was hard in the beginning, but we are happy and healthy. I started volunteering at Quality Day Foundation to share my story and to help others. We all have a job to do and that’s to BE KIND to one another.

Life can feel like a crazy emotional roller-coaster but with HOPE, you don’t have to face it alone.
